The recognition of the importance of providing the youngest community members with the love, support and knowledge they need to be successful prompted the formation of the Ministry Village Early Learning Center, LLC. A $1.4 million project more than three years in the making, the Ministry Village Early Learning Center is slated to open in the fall of 2018.

Situated on the campus of Olive Baptist Church in the heart of Pensacola, the Ministry Village Early Learning Center (ELC) is conveniently located near the corner of Davis Highway and Olive Road. The facility was constructed following the latest building codes with state-of-the-art security and fire sprinkler systems, as well as impact-resistant glass.

Each of the 11 classrooms within the nearly 9,500 square-foot building was designed to accommodate the specific needs of a particular age and stage of development. For example, the three rooms designated for infants and one-year-old toddlers have in-room handwashing stations to ensure that proper hygiene procedures are followed. The remaining eight classrooms offer in-room private bathroom facilities -- complete with child-size toilets and sinks -- to make it easy for children to learn independence.

The Ministry Village Early Learning Center is in the process of being licensed under the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and becoming an approved provider for Florida’s free 4-year-old Voluntary Prekindergarten Program (VPK). In addition, the ELC is in the process of being licensed through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The MVO Board of Directors and the Executive Director of Ministry Village at Olive, Inc. is charged with providing oversight for the Early Learning Center to ensure that the highest standards of excellence are upheld.
